Elmhurst Art Museum welcomes Chicago Sculpture International artists Sharon Bladholm, Suzanne Cohan-Lange, Sherry Giryotas, Corinne D. Peterson, Phillip Shore, Sam Spiczka, and Vivian Visser to the Hostetler Gallery.  The works selected for exhibition embody natural and organic forms, both by design and material.  Each piece creates a visual relationship between humans and environment; Bladholm’s Intelligent Heart employs small branches as veins and capillaries and Spicka’s Nighthawk, where wooden bones transform into an animal form.  Some works are anthropomorphic, others suggest our presence in the natural environment, and each represents the skilled mastering of concept, material, and composition.
