Art of Science Learning Exhibition

Jun 11th–Sep 18th 2016

Using the arts, we can spark creativity to innovate with science and technology, tackling challenges large and small. The interactive Art of Science Learning (AOSL)exhibition invites visitors of all ages to experience first-hand the creative intersection of art, STEM, innovation and community, to learn how together, art and science can help us address serious challenges.

The exhibit showcases projects from AOSL’s Chicago, San Diego and Worcester (MA) Incubators for Innovation, where hundreds of scientists, artists, educators and citizens addressed critical challenges chosen by their communities. Visitors dive into the creative process, exploring the tools and experiences used by Incubator teams to generate their own solutions.

AOSL is a National Science Foundation-funded initiative that uses the arts to spark creativity in science education to develop an innovative 21st Century STEM workforce. The initiative is built on years of research exploring the impact of artistic skills, processes and experiences on learning and the innovation process. The AOSL exhibition was produced and is toured by the Art of Science Learning, and was made possible by a grant from the National Science Foundation, Integrating Informal STEM and Arts-Based Learning to Foster Innovation (DRL-1224111).
