David Wallace Haskins: Polarity

The exhibition by Chicago-based multi-media artist David Wallace Haskins will premiere multiple new projects including an interactive video work and large-scale light installation within the Museum galleries. EAG Winter Member’s Show

The Elmhurst Artists’ Guilds annual Winter Members Show will feature a wide variety of work from EAG members. Yellow House Artists: Fall into Color

October 14 – November 30, 2018

Yellow House Artists' Fall Show “Fall into Color” will be on view at the Elmhurst Artists’ Guild Gallery and will feature paintings by 24 artists. Yellow House Artists is a group of oil pastel artists who promote both their art and the medium. The group originated with 17 oil pastel artists who had a gallery in a yellow house during the St. Charles Fine Art Show in 2007.  Now in its 10th year, the group has grown to include nearly 50 members who are interested in creating and showing their work as well as informing the public about the qualities of this little-known medium. EAG Fall Members Show

September 9, 2018 through October 12, 2018

The annual Fall Members Show, features a variety of its members’ original artwork. Notable artworks include Oak Park artist, Tony Abboreno’s, bold acrylic painting, “Supercharged,” which depicts the iconic 1936 Auburn Roadster. Abboreno’s art has recently been focused on American manufacturing and companies that fell victim to flawed marketing.  The Auburn Roadster “is one of the first automobiles that used the term "Supercharged" on its badge. Auburns were made at the plant in Auburn, Indiana along with Cords and Duesenbergs and were cars that appealed to the upper middle class. Read More ›
