Artist Kelli Connell, Allison Peters Quinn, EAM Executive Director & Chief Curator, and Gregory Harris, Keough Family Curator of Photography at the High Museum of Art (Atlanta) participate in a conversation moderated by Liz Chilsen. The panel shares their separate processes in making the exhibition and answer questions from the audience.

Kelli will sign copies of her books following the event, which are available for purchase in our Museum Shop.

__Kelli Connell__ (b. 1974) is a photographer based in Chicago. Through her images, she addresses issues of sexuality, identity, and self-perception. Her work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, J Paul Getty Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Dallas Museum of Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Photography, among others. Publications include Kelli Connell: Pictures for Charis (Aperture and Center for Creative Photography, March 2024), PhotoWork: Forty Photographers on Process and Practice (Aperture), Photo Art: The New World of Photography (Aperture), and the monograph Kelli Connell: Double Life (DECODE Books). Connell has received fellowships and residencies from The Guggenheim Foundation, MacDowell, PLAYA, Peaked Hill Trust, LATITUDE, Light Work, and The Center for Creative Photography.

Living With Modernism: Artist Talk

Spread love and support to residents at Roosevelt at Salt Creek and Park Place Retirement Community & Assisted Living Center this Valentine's Day!  With your help last year, we gave out over 400 special handmade cards and we hope to do it again this year.  Thank you for sharing your time and talent!

Beginning Wednesday, January 22nd, the card-making kits will be available in a covered plastic bin, labeled "kits", located outside of our main entrance.  Finished cards can be put in a separate bin, labeled "cards", also outside of our main entrance, no later than Monday, February 10th.

**About the McCormick House**

The McCormick House is a single-family home designed in 1952 by Mies van der Rohe, one of the great architects of the 20th Century. It is one of only three free-standing residences designed and built by Mies in the United States--and one of only two open to the public.

Late Night at the Museum

Isabella Gardner, renowned poet and one-time editor at Poetry, wrote numerous poems while
she lived in the McCormick House. During National Poetry Month, join us for an evening
in “Isabella’s house” to enjoy a reading of Gardner’s poetry and write your own poem

This __FREE__ two-day celebration on Saturday & Sunday takes place in Elmhurst’s Wilder Park, 175 South Cottage Hill Ave., drawing thousands of visitors to the Culture Campus each year.

Explore over 100 booths showcasing unique, handcrafted treasures including jewelry, paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, and fiber arts created by talented Midwest artists. Enjoy a variety of artisan food vendors alongside community partner and sponsor displays, all set against the picturesque backdrop of Wilder Park.

Families will love the interactive Kids Court, a dedicated space filled with engaging, hands-on activities. Participate in our free scavenger hunt and win fun prizes.

Voted “Best in the West” for several years, Art in Wilder Park is more than just an art fair—it’s a cherished community tradition that unites creativity and culture. Don’t miss this vibrant celebration of art and community!
